Give me a cup of coffee and an analytics dashboard, and I'm in my happy place. I love understanding the nuts and bolts of why something works the way it does, which is why I love SEO. Google isn't some fairy godmother dropping magical dust on its favorite websites; there are proven best practices that any business can utilize to improve their page ranking, which means more traffic, which means more clients.
The SEO industry is full of experts who want to keep it as complicated as possible, but I believe every business deserves an SEO strategy that they actually understand.
That's where I come in. I'm not about gate-keeping SEO secrets or asking you to spend your valuable time on things that barely move the needle. Maybe SEO feels overwhelming to you today, but after working with me, my hope is that you have a clear, actionable strategy you believe in and feel empowered to implement long-term.
My articles have reached 1.15 million unique readers.
93% of articles I have written have ranked on page 1 of google.
I have helped my clients generate an additional
$2 million in revenue.
I have always wanted to be a writer. It was my childhood dream! I thought that meant I would write books one day, but after college, I wrote anything that I could get paid for – magazine articles, blog posts, email series, social posts, you name it.
I started writing professionally in 2014 and made my way into a full-time corporate writing gig in 2016 where I specialized in real estate and financial copy. I loved it. That's where I was first introduced to SEO. It was *chef's kiss* the perfect juxtaposition for my creative and analytical mind. Over time, I took on less and less writing myself and transitioned into directing a team of writers in a full-blown SEO consulting role. During those years, our organic search efforts directly resulted in $2 million in revenue, and 93% of the articles I personally wrote ranked on page 1 of Google.
I left the corporate world when I had my oldest son in 2020 and love the flexibility that comes with working for myself (if you're a small business owner, you get me!). I think every business, big or small, deserves to benefit from a long-term SEO strategy. My goal is to replace that overwhelming dread you feel when you hear the word "SEO" with a holistic game plan that you can actually understand and implement over the long run.
Yes, my favorite part of a website is the “about me” page — hardest page to write, best part to read.
So here come the personal details:
I have lived in Nashville, TN for a decade now and am a mom of two little boys, who have wreaked havoc on my Spotify Wrapped and my grocery budget. But most days we are loving life in this little part of the world we call home.
When I'm not in mom or work mode, I'm probably scouting out Pinterest for inspiration for my next home project, trying to finish one of the four books I'm in the middle of, or enjoying a margarita while watching Survivor re-runs (nothing like seeing people live off of rice for weeks to make you really appreciate a solid cocktail).
Somehow I'm already at the age where I want to "winter at the beach." I believe 90s rom-coms are the best movies. Nothing sounds worse to me than a road trip (truly, I do not understand). I love to bake but hate the grocery store. I'll take any excuse to buy flowers, and if I’m out for breakfast, I’m definitely getting pancakes.
SEO is not the only weird thing that I think is fun. I'm also an organizational junkie and budget nerd (my husband can back me up). Give me a closet that needs to be cleaned out and a podcast about personal finance, and I'm having a *pretty great* day.
